Qusayr Amra

Umrah Palace or Qasr Amra is an Umayyad desert palace located in the north of the Jordanian desert in the Azraq area of ​​Zarqa, about 75 km east of Amman. It is relatively small, so some call it short. The palace was built in the life of Caliph al-Walid bin Yazid, the eleventh ruler of the Umayyad caliphs (707-744 AD). It is believed that the palace was used for fishing trips by the caliphs and the princes of Bani Umayya.
