History

The Turkish martyrs memorial, which is Located in As-salt, where the remains of 300 Ottoman soldiers, who died in World War I (1918-1914), were buried. They were defending their country against the English occupation. The soldiers were defending the city and protecting the nearby strategic valley of Shu'ayb, Being the main corridor for travelers and convoys between Jordan and Palestine
