History

One of the most important facilities in the Marine Science Station is the aquarium which was established and used by the station to exhibit the beauty uniqueness and importance of the marine ecosystem of the Gulf of Aqaba. The Aquarium is used to educate the public and gain their support to the efforts of the station to protect this important resource and keep it in pristine condition for the coming generation.  Don’t miss chance to know the most diversity and unique marine organism that found in the Gulf of Aqaba which consider the gate of Jordan on Red sea. The marine aquarium include more than 70 fish species , and many types of soft and hard corals, and many other marine organisms.   Marine science Station is located at the eastern coast of the most northern end of the Gulf of Aqaba, about 10 Km south of Aqaba city.
