History

The site of Bayda is a unique archaeological find that has offered groundbreaking insight into the history of man.  This ancient settlement is more rhan 9000 years old, dating back to the Neolithic Period, when people began to live in settled communities and develop an economy based on farming domesticated plant and animals, thus representing the turning point of mankind`s evolvement from hunter-gatherers.  This site wad inhabited from about 8,500 BC up to as recent as 5,500 BC .
